Declaring
a Major
When can I delcare a major?
When a student has completed
30 semester hours, including English 1000 and 1100, and has obtained at
least a 2.00 grade point average and removed any incomplete grades, the
student will be notified that he/she may officially declare a major. After
the major is declared, the student’s academic and advisement records
will be forwarded to the degree granting college and the student will select
an advisor in her/his major area. In theatre the student will declare the
major as either BA Theatre Arts or BS Teaching Theatre Arts. A concentration
in Theatre Design/Technology or Perfomance can be added only after the student
is admitted into those concentrations.
