Welcome

Participation in Production
Expectations and Documentation.

The theatre faculty feels that the completion of a degree in theatre without participation in theatre productions beyond course requirements is a meaningless degree. In order to become a better teacher or practitioner of theatre, the student should plan to gain experience in every phase of production. In addition to course work, the student may also sign up for one unit of credit each semester in THR 2101-2104 Production Activity and students will be required to take three different areas.

A Production Record form is kept in each student's file to track participation in twelve required areas. The students advisor will encourage students to update their record each semester.

While many of the requirements are met by lab work related to classes, majors should expect to dedicate time to co-curricular activities of theatre production.

Students who participate without receiving credit for a regular course will receive points towards eligibility for Alpha Psi Omega, the National Theatre Honor Society.
