The Department attempts to offer the maximum number of individual catalog-listed courses each semester. Despite this intention, there are times when scheduled courses have to be deleted due to inadequate enrollments. Certain courses are not offered every semester. A few courses are offered on an alternate-year basis only. (See below.) The student is advised to be aware and consider this factor in projecting graduation plans. Failure to take those courses that are offered only once a year or in alternate years may result in graduation difficulties.
The Department attempts to inform all students of this situation and to provide the most complete course scheduling possible to enable students to finish degree requirements within a projected length of time. However, there are limits to what the Department can guarantee and students should not automatically assume that special conditions can be provided for them should scheduling difficulties arise. It is expected that a responsible student will consider scheduling difficulties at the time of registration.
