  • Lara Marshall hails from Winston-Salem, NC and joined the faculty of ASU as an adjunct instructor in 2002.  She is also is the manager of the Valborg Theatre Box Office.

    Lara received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Theater with an emphasis on Performance from the University of Washington. Since then she has performed professionally with the Seattle Civic Light Opera, Rhode Island's Theatre-By-the-Sea, the North Carolina Theatre (in Raleigh), and the Broach Theatre (in Greensboro) where she is a company member along with her husband, Derek Gagnier.

    Favorite roles include Audrey in Little Shop of Horrors, Charity in Sweet Charity, Corie in Barefoot in the Park , Meredith in Five Women Wearing the Same Dress and Agnes Worthington in the East Coast premiere of the one-woman show, Step Into My Parlor.

    She is thrilled also to have recently performed in the world premiere of Twelve Treatises on Memory with her husband in collaboration with local playwright John Crutchfield.

    Other regional credits include: Accomplice, Over the River and Through the Woods, A Perfect Wedding, Black Comedy, The Odd Couple, The Boys Next Door, Cash on Delivery, Dancing at Lughnasa, Dearly Departed, Singin' in the Rain, Crazy for You, The Pajama Game, Jesus Christ Superstar, The Robber Bridegroom and Evita.

    Lara made her directorial debut with ASU's 2003 production of The Vagina Monologues
