Prior to joining the Department in 2001, Alice managed the costume shops at Denison University, Western Carolina University, and Ballet Austin. She spent three seasons in the fast-paced environment at the prestigious Glimmerglass Opera, most recently as a draper. She is well experienced in managing both materials and labor, having filled various costume construction positions at Kenyon College, Blowing Rock Stage Company, Ohio State University Opera Department, UT-Austin, Austin Lyric Opera, the Zachary Scott Theatre Center, and other theatres in the Austin area. She is listed in the NC Film Directory, and her film experience includes costume work on the Hallmark Production’s mini-series True Women. She has designed costumes for WCU’s theatre department for productions of Art and A Few Good Men, for Denison University’s dance department, for UT-Austin’s summer high school theatre workshop, and for Ballet Austin. Other experience includes directing, lighting design, and master electrician duties

Alice is a member of USITT and USITT-SE, and is co-sponsor of the ASU Student Chapter of USITT. She enjoys vegetarian cooking, gardening, and motorcycling.
