Neil James Reda joined the department after teaching and attending graduate school at Virginia Commonwealth University in Richmond, Virginia. While in Virginia, Neil was active with a number of professional and community theatres including Virginia Opera Association, Theatre IV, Barksdale, and Live Arts. During that time he has served as a technical director, stage manager, carpenter, electrician, actor, and director. Neil enjoys all facets of the theatre, and shares his enthusiasm with his students and peers at Appalachian State. In his free time, Neil enjoys rock climbing, motorcycling, and writing.
