Technical Director and Production Manager

Prior to joining the Department, Greg was the Technical Director at Farthing Auditorium, ASU’s roadhouse, for 12 years, as well as TD for An Appalachian Summer Festival for those 12 years. His other professional work has included free-lance audio engineering, theatrical sound design, lighting design and implementation, and flying effects work. During his twenty-five years in the entertainment industry, he has been involved with over 2000 live events in positions which included every aspect of sound and lighting, as well as stage management and rigging. Highlights are topped by frequent invitations to work with Doc Watson. Other highlights include local support for dance companies such as Hubbard Street, David Parsons, Ohio Ballet, Paul Taylor, NC Dance Festival, and Oakland Ballet.

Greg enjoys cross-country motorcycling, photography, and playing various acoustic instruments. He is a long-time member of USITT and USITT-SE, and is co-sponsor for the ASU Student Chapter of USITT. He is currently helping to lead a cross-country motorcycle charity ride to the national USITT conference in Long Beach, CA. The ride is a fund-raiser for Broadway Cares/Equity Fights Aids.
