Theatre & Dance Workshops

These workshops are facilitated by faculty, staff, and students who are pre-service artists and teachers in Appalachian State University's Department of Theatre and Dance. This program is accredited by the North Carolina Department of Public Instruction and the National Council for Accreditation of Teacher Education. These workshops are faculty/staff supervised and offer great fun to the participants while helping pre-service artists and teachers become more dynamic educators.

“A Prince and Princess Tea Party” (for children ages 4-5)
with Sue Williams, Alice Neff, and their Theatrical Costume students
Saturday, November 21, 1-2 p.m.

What does a prince or a princess wear?  How do they behave?  What do they like to do?  How does a theatre Costume Designer decide what a prince or princess in a play should look like?  Come to our Prince and Princess Tea Party and find out!

Create your own prince or princess costume from fabrics and pieces in our theatre costume shop.  Decide what kind of prince or princess you want to be and then sit down with us and have a tea party.  Take your costume home and create your own plays with it!

Held in the Costume Studio, Room 135, Chapell Wilson Hall.
